5 This is a legal agreement ("Agreement") between you and Canon Inc. ("Canon")
6 governing your use of Canon's or its licensors' software programs incorporated
7 in this Canon's product "Canon UFR II/UFR II LT Printer Driver for Linux v2.70
8 " ("Product"), and which software programs are listed in Schedule 1 of Exhibit
9 attached hereto. Such Canon's or its licensors' software programs shall be
10 referred to hereinafter as the "Software."

12 READ CAREFULLY AND UNDERSTAND ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND RESTRICTIONS DESCRIBED IN
13 THIS AGREEMENT BEFORE USING THE SOFTWARE.

15 BY USING THE SOFTWARE AS DESCRIBED IN SECION 1 BELOW, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY
16 THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS
17 AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT, DO NOT USE THE SOFWARE AND PROMPTLY RETURN
18 THE SAME TO THE PLACE WHERE YOU OBTAINED IT.

21 1.GRANT OF LICENSE

23 Canon grants you a personal, limited and non-exclusive license to use ("use" as
24 used herein shall mean storing, loading, installing, accessing, executing or
25 displaying), have used, copy, have copied, distribute and permit third parties
26 to use and copy the Software only on the Product. You may modify the Software
27 only for your own use and reverse engineer the same for debugging such
28 modifications. You shall distribute the Software to any third party under the
29 same terms and conditions as contained herein.

31 2.RESTRICTIONS

33 Except as expressly granted or permitted herein, you shall not use, assign,
34 sublicense, sell, rent, lease, loan, convey or transfer to any third party the
35 Software.

51 You agree to comply with all export laws and restrictions and regulations of the
52 country involved, and not to export or re-export, directly or indirectly, the
53 Software in violation of any such laws, restrictions and regulations, or without

80 This Agreement is effective upon your acceptance hereof by using the Software
81 and remains in effect until terminated. You may terminate this Agreement by
82 destroying the Software.

84 Canon may terminate this Agreement if you fail to comply with any terms hereof.
85 Upon such termination of this Agreement, in addition to Canon enforcing its
86 respective legal rights, you must then promptly destroy the Software.

88 Notwithstanding the foregoing, Sections 4, and 6 through 10 shall survive any
89 termination of this Agreement.

91 8.U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS NOTICE

93 A "US Government End User" shall mean any agency or entity of the government of
94 the United States. If you are a US Government End User, the following shall apply:
95 The SOFTWARE is "commercial items," as that term is defined at 48 C.F.R. 2.101
96 (October 1995), consisting of "commercial computer software" as such terms are
97 used in 48 C.F.R. 12.212 (September 1995). Consistent with 48 C.F.R. 12.212 and
