clean up the ATI faq, add R800 (evergreen) support info. inspired by bug 307481.
updated ati FAQ for bug 293564. also updated info on driver support and other misc. bits
add info for bug 230911. also, i did some more digging on binary and xorg driver support, and have added some free additional bonus information, and some info on the 4000 series, which is soon to have support in xf86-video-ati, probably into the next 6.9.x update, or whatever comes next. just a matter of PCI IDs and such; see phoronix.com for more info on that.
updated x1000, HD 2000 info for bug 200247 (thanks to lu_zero for the patch). i also did some homework and added info for the HD 3000 series cards
removed all references to ati-gatos from the docs, as per drac's treecleaners last rites email. the gatos code has been merged into xorg's codebase. for the portage handbook p.mask example, replaced ati-gatos with a package that will actually stay in the tree. yay for unreal tournament\!
added a couple of new bits of support from bug 170293. while i was editing the doc anyway, also went through and revamped several other sections, including adding new info on the latest ati cards (no support for R600/HD 2000 series), other xorg driver support updates, removed 2.4 kernel stuff, removed x11-drm per previous updates to the hardware accel guide, and condensed install instructions
clarify "support" of R500 and newer

When using the binary ATI drivers, if you want ATI's internal agpgart support
instead of the Linux kernel one, you must built agpgart and the chipset-specific
support in the Linux kernel configuration as either modules or explicitly
disable them.
09:42 <@SwifT> for binary ATI drivers, is it true you need to build the agpgart
and chipset-specific driver as a module for DRI to work?
09:43 <@spyderous> SwifT: no, that's not true. it's true that they need to be
modular or not at all if you want ati's _internal_ agpgart
instead of the kernel's.
